Family confirm death of young Irish woman in France
A member of the family of Eimear Noonan, missing in France since last week, has confirmed that her body has been found.
In a message on Facebook, her brother Cathal Noonan said the French authorities had now confirmed that Ms Noonan, who was 21, died following a fall while running on Wednesday.
Her body was found on Friday near the town of Annonay in southeastern France.
Ms Noonan, from Co Clare, was living and working in Annonay as an English language teacher.
She graduated from UCC last month, where she had been head of the university orchestra in her final year.
The Department of Foreign Affairs said it is providing consular assistance to the family.Source: Google News
