'Lecturer arrested' as Gardai probe possible link to drug sales to Irish university students
An Irish university lecturer was reportedly arrested after cannabis was allegedly seized at his home.
Gardai reportedly raided the Dublin property on January 29 and allegedly found â¬25k of the drugs, weighing scales and â¬5,000 in cash.
The Mail reports that the man, aged in his 40s, was arrested and taken to a local station for questioning before being released without charge.
A source told the newspaper: "Gardai received a tip off that the individual may have been linked to the sale and supply of drugs on the college campus."
They added that investigations are ongoing and number of lines of inquiry are being followed, including that "the individual arrested may have been supplying and selling drugs to students within their work environment, to which they had access to students."
