Weather forecast map shows when the 'blowtorch heat' will roast Ireland

Ireland is set to be hit with a 1,500 mile wide 'African air plume' from North Africa which will move across Southern Europe until it reaches the UK and Ireland this week.

Ireland could be hit with roasting temperatures and a prolonged spell of sunshines which will be a "marked contrast" to the cold weather we endured during Beast from the East earlier this year.

Now a weather chart from WX Charts has shown exactly when and where the hot sizzling heat will hit Ireland most.

Have a look:

Latest weather models show a band of hot African air forecasters have described as a “blowtorch” engulfing Europe and the UK from the south that will blow towards Ireland.

The latest weather maps show that the east coast of Ireland will be hit with the area hit with the warmest weather from Wednesday.

The Met Offic e said temperatures could reach highs of around 25C by Thursday where the conditions will be warmest.

According to the map, the hottest days could potentially be Thursday and Friday when temperatures could reach easily into the 20s.

The warm front looks to spread across the country with temperatures predicted to sit in the mid to high 20s and the wonderful sunshine could make this the hottest April in seven years - even beating Malibu, California.

At the moment, Met Eireann forecasts that Thursday will be mostly dry and bright with lighter winds and temperatures reaching up to 18 degrees.

While Friday could see a few light showers but will be manly dry and bright in most parts of the country, while Saturday will be largely dry and bright.
