Multiple fire engines called to blaze overnight at derelict building on Dublin's northside

DUBLIN FIRE BRIGADE dispatched at least four fire appliances to a large fire at a derelict building in Dublin last night.

The fire, at the building on Clonliffe Road, on Dublin’s northside close to the Mater Dei homeless family hub, was eventually extinguished by pump at about 2.30am.

In addition to the multiple appliances on scene, gardaí a nd an ambulance were also in attendance.

It’s understood that nobody was injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is as yet unknown. Gardaí based at nearby Mountjoy are investigating the incident.
