Tuesday saw one part of Ireland get the highest temperatures of 2018 so far
If you were in the west of the country, you probably got a bit more tanned/sunburned than the rest of us.
For anyone who was outside during the day, or even had a window that allowed them to see the outside world while they toiled away in work / school / college / etc., then you know that Tuesday 29 May was a spectacularly good day, weather-wise.
The majority of the country got what were essentially the highest temperatures of the year so far, but the west in particular got the best of it.
And one particularly area in the west got the best of the best...
26.3 degrees was actually hotter than the majority of the rest of Europe yesterday, just FYI.
Meanwhile, don't discount today (Wednesday 30) on not immediately taking the crown, as the early estimates are ranging from 21 to 25 degrees nationwide, with the inland counties more liable to g et the higher end.
The rest of the week is going let the heat taper off, but only slightly, and Met Eireann are still predicting some heavy thunderstorms before the weekend.
