Weather forecast Ireland: Met Eireann predict washout week as Ireland set to be lashed by heavy rain
The week ahead looks set to be washout with Met Eireann predicting "heavy showers" of rain.
The beginning of the week will see some mild weather but it's set to lash from Wednesday onwards.
Met Eireann revealed that Sunday will see "a good deal of dry weather during today with mixed cloud and broken sunshine but scattered outbreaks of heavy showery rain will also occur."
It will be warm and humid with highs of 19 to 22 degrees in light breezes.
Meanwhile, Monday will be "bright and fresh with sunshine and showers in westerly breezes. Highs of 18 to 21 degrees."
From Tuesday, it will get cloudier and we'll also see outbreaks of rain and drizzle in Connacht, Ulster and west Munster.
However, many eastern counties will remain dry.
Wednesday will see downpours all day as h eavy rain spreads eastwards though the morning, breaking up into showers in the afternoon and evening.

However, temperatures will reach 14C to 18C on Thursday and there will be some sunshine in the morning.
